It seems that Siri is currently down in India. We have confirmed the issue with many people on twitter and they are experiencing the downtime. Siri is unable to connect to Apple servers, due to which it is facing issues. We are awaiting for a statement from Apple soon. Every time, it gives the same reply when we tell it to execute any task.
Some people even contacted Apple support, talked to them for an hour and tried troubleshooting to know if the problem persists with their networks or not. But unfortunately, after trying all tactics, it was confirmed that the issue persists within the Apple servers. However, it is not something new which has happened to iPhone 4S users.
Apple servers have also gone down previously prior to any notifications. We are hoping that they would be up in a while. Well, we are not sure if this issue should be considered under maintenance or their servers have failed unexpectedly. In the meantime, you can checkout ‘Siri0us’, tweak which lets you install Siri dictation on iPhone 4 without any system files manipulations.
Anyways, if there’s anyone from India who is not experiencing server issues with Siri? Let’s know in the comment section. We will keep you updated!
[Update]: Apple servers are back online. If you were experiencing any issues previously, either reboot your phone or reset network settings. It has started working for people again.
